186 Bible Reading Plan — Day 55
📆 55 – 💎9 The way we see time is different than how God sees it. Galatians 2v1, Paul tells us that “after an interval of fourteen years” he went up to Jerusalem.
We see time as something that is used up and is discarded. God sees time as something He uses to transform our lives.
Paul started his journey spending his time hunting Christians. Then God changed him. Then Paul spent 3 years learning about Jesus. Then he spent his time travelling telling people about Jesus. After that, he spent 14 years telling people about Jesus.
Paul saw the time that he spent as something that would bring the highest value to God. God saw the time that Paul spent with Him, as the highest value.
The time that we spend with God produces a life that spends time telling others about God.
Give it a try. If you spend a few minutes a day with God, try increasing that time. Although quantity doesn’t guarantee quality, the more time you spend with God, in His Word and in prayer, the more you will be changed.
God makes a promise, “If you draw near to God, He will draw near to you.” (James 4v8a)
Remember, the Word of God speaks most clearly when you are reading the Bible.
